Round 3: Palm Beach International Raceway

February 26, 27

After two rounds filled with huge grids and close battles across all the racing classes, the fastest-growing motorcycle series in the United States moves to round three of the eight round championship series.

There is only a point or two separating seven class championships currently.

In the Sunoco SuperBike 600 Amateur overall championship, Team Hurricane Racing’s Dustin Richards is leading Team South Florida Cycles Frank Custureri by only point with Dustin at 99 points and Frank with 98 points. Dustin and Frank are also battling for the overall amateur championship with Dustin leading followed by Frank in third place.

In the Formula 40 600 Expert class, Jamie Starace is tied on points with 33 Team Hurricane Racing’s Alejandro Albert Rei but is leading in the championship due to more race wins.

First year racer and Team Hurricane Racing’s Andrea Diotallevi is leading the Formula 40 600 Amateur championship with 35 points over Team NSL Motorsports Maykel Peres Sierra with 34 points.

The Formula 50 1000 Amateur championship is separated by only three points with Team Monkey Works Cycle Performance  Mike Banner leading Kawasaki mounted John Sackett. There is a three way battle in the Bridgestone Cup 1000 sprint championship with Mario Gonzalez (33 points) leading Team South Florida Cycles Odane Allen (30 points) followed by Yamaha R1 mounted Shannon Andrus with 29 points.

In the Euro Cup Max Amateur championship Mario Gonzalez (35 points) again leads the championship over Romulo Ruiz with 34 points. Mario Gonzalez is also currently in second place in the amateur overall championship behind Dustin Richards.

In the Euro Light Amateur championship, we have a five-way battle for the lead with only three points separating the top five riders in the class. 1st Ricardo DiMitri (25 points) 2nd Team South Florida Cycles Alfie Luzzi (24 points) 3rd Eric Ausen (23 points) 4th Brandon Gindlesperger (22 points) 5th Team Hurricane Racing Donald P. Dufresne (22 points).

FMRRA has distributed nearly $5000 in payouts over the first two weekends and hope to continue that success throughout the remainder of the race championship!
